Polymeric and Biomimetic Delivery Systems

Introduction:

By integrating tools of materials, chemistry, biomolecular engineering, pharmaceutical science, and micro/nano fabrication, as well as understanding of the unique functions of natural materials, our research laboratory is interested in exploring functional polymeric and bioinspired materials for diverse biomedical applications, ranging from photoacoustic imaging, drug delivery, modulation of tumor microenvironment, regenerative medicine to immuno-engineering.

Specific projects:
- Polymeric nanoprobes for photoacoustic imaging
- Polymeric smart drug delivery systems for cancer therapy
- Engineering of biomimetic platforms and cell-based carriers for applications in cancer and other diseases
- Hydrogels for applications in cancer therapy and tissue engineering
