Eleven researchers from CNST&FUNSOM have been recognized as “highly cited” (12 person-times) by Clarivate Analytics. The 2021 Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list, published on November 16, 2021, features researchers who have demonstrated considerable influence in their chosen field through publication of multiple works that have been cited by a significant number of their peers during the last decade. A total of 6602 highly cited scientists from more than 70 countries and regions around the world have been included in the list.

This year, Soochow University has had a total of 23 researchers selected, ranking fifth among Chinese mainland universities, following Tsinghua University (58 12 person-times), Zhejiang University (29 12 person-times), Peking University (28 person-times), and the University of Science and Technology of China (27 person-times). Among them, CNST&FUNSOM is proud to have the following researchers included in the HCR global list for 12 person-times (in random order):

So far, 51 members of CNST&FUNSOM have been selected as HCRs, which made remarkable contributions to Soochow University’s rising global impact. The past number of HCRs of both Soochow University and CNST&FUNSOM were as follows:

Dr. Ziliang Dong, who was newly selected as a Highly Cited Researcher in the cross-field category this year, is a doctoral alumnus who graduated from our institute in 2020. Prof. Kai Yang of the School of Radiation Medicine and Protection of Soochow University, who was selected as HCR in the materials science field, is a 2013 doctoral graduate of FUNSOM. Prof. Guosheng Song of Hunan University, selected as HCR of cross-field, was a postdoctoral fellow of our institute in 2017. To date, 20 graduates/post-doctoral researchers independently trained by our institute have been recognized as HCRs over the past several years.
