Research Experience and Accomplishments:

Dr. Liu is working in the field of biomaterials and nanomedicine. The primary goal of his research team is to develop innovative materials and nanotechnology for novel therapeutic strategies against cancer and other diseases. Starting from 2005, Dr. Liu has authored over 400 peer-reviewed papers, which have received a total citation of > 100,000 times and given him an H-index at 176.  He was listed as one of the ‘Most Cited Chinese Researchers (Materials Science)’ by Elsevier since 2014, as well as one of the ‘Highly Cited Researchers (Chemistry, Materials)’ by Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters) since 2015. Dr. Liu is the scientific founder of InnoBM Pharmaceuticals Inc., which is a start-up company focusing on the development of novel therapeutics for cancer immunotherapy. Several pipelines from InnoBM are currently being tested in clinical trials.
