To better support new faculty in developing teaching skills and fostering knowledge sharing, a classroom teaching workshop was held on April 1, 2026.The event provided a platform for new teachers to demonstrate their skills while facilitating experience exchange between new and veteran faculty.

Seven new teachers each delivered a targeted teaching segment drawn from a course they plan to teach. They demonstrated their individual teaching styles and used a variety of methods to present complex concepts in clear and engaging ways.

Following each presentation, an expert panel—comprising Liu Yang, Dong Bin, Song Ziyuan, and Wang Tao—provided detailed feedback. The experts offered in-depth evaluations across multiple dimensions, including instructional content design, teaching method selection, classroom interaction organization, and slide preparation. They acknowledged the new teachers’ strengths while offering specific, actionable suggestions for improvement. In addition, the panel engaged in substantive discussions with the new teachers on topics such as how to design effective teaching segments, regulate the pace of instruction, stimulate student interest, and better plan their future course offerings.

The trial teaching workshop is a regular, signature event of our college. It serves as a key platform for faculty to demonstrate, share, and enhance their teaching capabilities, fostering a culture of mutual learning and reflective practice.
