On November 15, 2023, Clarivate Analytics, a professional information services provider, released its 2023 list of Highly Cited Researchers. A total of 7,125 researcher selections from more than 1,300 institutions across 67 countries and regions were included. The Chinese Mainland had 1,275 selections, accounting for 17.9% of the total. Soochow University had 21 selections, ranking 10th among universities in the Chinese Mainland.

This year, 13 researchers from our college (FUNSOM) appear on the Highly Cited Researchers list (representing 12 individuals). The detailed list of honorees and their subject fields is as follows (in no particular order):

The 2023 Highly Cited Researchers list is based on the number of highly cited papers published during an 11-year period from January 2012 to December 2022. The selection methodology for the Highly Cited Researchers list was developed by bibliometric experts and data scientists at the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI™) at Clarivate, using citation data from the Web of Science™. It covers 188,500 highly cited papers across all subject fields.

Furthermore, among the graduates and postdoctoral fellows independently trained by our college, 8 scholars have appeared on the Highly Cited Researchers list. We extend our warm congratulations to all of them!
