On November 19, 2024, Clarivate Analytics, a professional information services provider, released its 2024 list of Highly Cited Researchers. A total of 6,636 researchers from 59 countries and regions were selected, representing 6,886 selections. The Chinese Mainland had 1,405 selections, accounting for 20.4% of the total. Soochow University had 23 selections, ranking 11th among universities in the Chinese Mainland.

This year, 13 researchers from the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (College of Nano Science & Technology) appeared on the Highly Cited Researchers list. The detailed list of honorees and their subject fields is as follows (in no particular order):

The Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers list is an annual selection that recognizes natural and social scientists who have made significant contributions to their fields and have demonstrated global influence. The 2024 Highly Cited Researchers list is based on the number of highly cited papers published during the period from 2013 to 2023. The selection methodology was developed by bibliometric experts at the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI™) at Clarivate, based on a rigorous evaluation and curation of highly cited paper data from journals indexed in SCIE and SSCI.

To date, a total of 9 scholars who graduated or completed postdoctoral training at our college have appeared on the Highly Cited Researchers list. We extend our warm congratulations to all of them!
