Prof. Liu Zhuang Elected 2024 Fellow of the CCS

Recently, the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) announced the list of newly elected Fellows of the Chinese Chemical Society (FCCS) for the year 2024. A total of 43 researchers from 35 institutions, including universities and research institutes across China, have been elevated to Fellowship. Professor Liu Zhuang from our college (FUNSOM) has been successfully elected as a new Fellow in recognition of his contributions to the fields of biomaterials, chemical biology, and nanochemistry. We extend our warmest congratulations to Professor Liu Zhuang!

Professor Liu Zhuang

Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society (FCCS) is the highest level of the CCS membership system. It is conferred upon distinguished members who have made systematic, creative achievements and significant contributions in chemistry and related fields; and/or have made important contributions to the development and progress of chemistry; and/or have made significant contributions to the development of the Chinese Chemical Society, including having served in leadership or editor-in-chief positions within the Society's institutions or journals, leading relevant activities, or pioneering important work.

The CCS established the Fellow system in 2019, with an annual quota of no more than 50 new Fellows. To date, a total of 296 distinguished scholars have received this honor. Professor Chi Lifeng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and also from our college, was elected as one of the inaugural Fellows of the Chinese Chemical Society in 2020.
