Jiansheng Jie

Research experience:

●  Bachelor’s degree and doctor’s degree in Condensed Matter Physics received from the Department of Physics, University of Science and Technology of China in 1999 and 2004 respectively;

● Successively engaged in post-doctoral research at the University of Hong Kong and the City University of Hong Kong from 2005 to 2008;

● Assumed the Professor at the School of Electronic Science and Applied Physics at Hefei University of Technology from 2006 to 2011;

● Assuming the distinguished professor and associate dean of the Institute of Functional Nano and Soft Materials of Soochow University from 2012 to present.   


Research work and results:

Prof. Jie mainly engaged in the fields of the controllable preparation of large-area organic single crystals, high-performance organic single-crystal transistors and their applications in flexible wearable and bionic electronic devices. Prof. Jie has authored over 280 SCI papers, which were published in high-level journals such as Nat. Electron., Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater., Nano Lett., ACS Nano and Materials Today, including over 130 papers with impact factors > 10. The published papers have been totally cited for more than 18000 times, and given Prof. Jie an h-index of 70. There are more than 15 papers were selected as “ESI highly cited papers” according to Web of Science ESI and reported as annual hot spots or highlights by Nature Materials, NPG Asia material Views and other academic journals. He was listed as one of the “Most Cited Chinese Researchers (Materials Science and Engineering)” by Elsevier from 2020, as well as one of the “Top 2% Scientists Worldwide” by Stanford University. Prof. Jie has applied and authorized more than 30 invention patents, including 2 patents have been achieved technology commercialization. Moreover, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), and also served as an associate editor of journal of Organic Electronics and the senior editorial board member of Chinese Chemical Letters, Journal of Physics: Materials and Materials Research Express. Prof. Jie presided or participated around 20 national research funds including the National Outstanding Youth Fund of NSFC, the National Major Research Program (973 Program), the National Excellent Youth Fund of NSFC and the Innovation Team Program of NSFC. He has won a number of awards, including Expert of special government subsidies under The State Council (2023), National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project (2020), Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions of China (2020). His achievements have awarded the First Prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Award and the Second Prize of Anhui Science and Technology Award, etc.
